Ironically, this doesn't serve as the only bizarre bear sighting to take place this month. The FWC added that the bear was likely in search of food before hibernation season, which takes place between late December and late March. “In most cases, it is best for bears to be given space and to move along on their own, but given the situation, staff are working on capturing and relocating the bear,” the agency shared with NBC News. The bear has since been captured and relocated to an area near the Ocala National Forest. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) confirmed that the bear had been spotted in a tree at Magic Kingdom, and noted that they were working to capture and relocate the animal. ![]() Those specific attractions included Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Hall of Presidents, Liberty Square Riverboat, A Pirate’s Adventure, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Walt Disney World Railroad (including Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Main Street). ![]() NBC News reports that parts of Florida's Magic Kingdom were temporarily closed today after a black bear was spotted.
